#1002 Use and Care Instructions
Cleaning:
Stainless steel is naturally corrosion resistant and obviously much tougher than glass. Short of intentional abuse, your AMW pipe will outlive you. Occasional cleaning can be accomplished with household rubbing alcohol. Fill both chambers with alcohol just as you would with water, reassemble the pipe, then shake it to get alcohol into the smaller tubes. Allow it to sit, then rinse with hot water. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive/gritty cleaners or brushes. The bowl can be soaked in alcohol as well and cleaned with a pipe cleaner. In the unlikely event that you damage your pipe or need any replacement parts such as clamps or O-rings, contact AMW.
Instructions for use:
Bottom water chamber
Remove the -10AN fill cap for the bottom chamber, and fill it approximately half way. The cap does not have to be overtightened-finger snug is fine.
Top water chamber
Fill the top water chamber to approximately 1 inch below the top percolator filter. The rest of the chamber can be filled with ice.
Clamshell closure
Make sure the O-ring gaskets are in place on both flanges. Slip the sleeve over the flange and O-ring on the base, then slip the top into the sleeve. If the O-rings are difficult to slip into the sleeve, they can be lubricated with any type of food safe oil (even some olive or vegetable oil will work). Close the clamshell clamp over the sleeve and insert the quick release pin.
